@histoire3 @mirq

(Since even before toilets folk went out to shit in the woods - I think folk would utterly loose it if you told them about chamber pots and the like)

@histoire3 @mirq Once I told my friends that I use toilet paper (It was to dry my ass upon washing/ clean the bathroom)

And they were lowkey disgusted because they thought I didnt use a bidet (They already knew I used to live in the states)

There is something hilarious about indians being disgusted by westoid shitting habits

(even in the states parents taught me to use a separate shitting mug and wash my ass)

@histoire3 @mirq Ones here have enough pressure to wash your ass, pr you at leqst get a separate mug to poor water to your ass if they are in the middle of nowhere

Like islam did enter through foreign invasions, the invaders did make slavery a widespread practice when it was far.more niche in antiquity and significantly curbed, theu did promote a forgeign hegenomy and in many cases carried out forced conversions. There was also times to abject hostility towards non muslims.
Obviously did had many harmful effects to the culture.

And add to that the whole creation of pakistan on the rhetoeic of "Hindus and Muslims are separete nations", in that sense one nation was constantly hostile and carried out constant invasions unto the other....

As for india and pakistan

Not to.mention hindus there are a single digit percentage now the muslim population here has only increased in proportion from the pre partition era
(hate to say it like that but it is safe to assume that despite a bunch of horrifying stuff the treatment of minorities between nations is heavily skewed)
Not to mention that pakiatan is an openly religious state promoting one religion and who knows if that os abused or not.

Meanwhile while hindus definitely abuse their majority and carry out hostile acts at leaat we are a a secular country which has some laws to precent.majority abuse. (and rhe whole hell with the waqf board ignored)

Also that there were boards to manage sitea for minority religions in pakistan and an agreement was to make board members of these groups but they are all muslims there and the sites are ofc in a terrible state

And then the actions in Bengal which are simply horrifying...

Like obviously most people are just fine, and innocent people hatwd are abused and hurt in turn for no fault of their own

I hate that but I still feel that the relationship is outrageously whitewashed and one directional.

@georgia yeah I am not.

I feel If I continue; I'd genuinely find myself once again tendinf towards hate.

Again the relationship.is so.one sided that even knowing the nuances I can only feel utter outrage

@georgia India is the worst sufferer, and while I don't like to imagine that, I feel in any other country upon the creation of pakistan; there would genuinely been an extreme.reaction.

Instead; Non Muslims seem to be the ones utterly disappeared from pakistan.

And How I hate the hindus and muslims are.separate natioms rhetoric - as if it wasn't several hostile invasions (and in the case of nw india) with widespread forced conversion slavery and all

Hindus kinda really do have many a reason to feel ill sentiment towards muslims.

Like the ravaging islamic invasions, and post that, the whole creation of pakistan and with that as the context the relationship now.

Like yeah there were a lot of naunces but still the history is quite one sided to a degree.

And while I promote the nuances, the whitewashing of a lot of that does give me outrage.

Obviously so I feel the invasions and the imperealist rule of these foreign dynasties were utterly devastating and resulted in us being significantly chanfed and the entire histort is significantly whitewashed
