@Jelqberg_Mcjelqstein @Tony @meso im taking this as talking to a normal guy about a hobby project but your name is jelqberg maybe i should give up lol
i dont have unlimited funds, im a college student.
im inexperienced not stupid? maybe a little stupid, but there's a lot of professionals dumber than the nails they use. tony was literally just talking about these guys. lol you dont gain experience from having people do it for you.
you seem hell bent on me not caring about what i produce. why? where did i give this impression? i do care. i'm going to look more into things. i might even.............. ask more questions ... omg.. but its cool dude.

@Jelqberg_Mcjelqstein @Tony @meso hey, i might fuck up my measurements. i might make it ugly. i can buy more materials and try again until im satisfied.
i do usually expect perfect my first time around, because that's the result I want and i try to plan carefully for it, but it's not the end of the world if I make something shit. i can give it another go. ill have the tools mememewink

but for real, i think this is a reasonable project to learn how to use some tools and get making. i get your points of caution but if i fuck up somewhere, i learn, eat the cost, try not to make the same mistake again

@Jelqberg_Mcjelqstein @Tony @meso hold up now, my math is ok. i did need advice on the saw.
i dont needa know all the fancy names.
i have a drawing. i have a plan. i can measure. i can cut. i can nail. bam, table.

i don't think asking for advice on the type of saw to buy from someone more experienced means i can't complete my project.

we'll see.

so at work i need to install some signs in the parking lot. i have the signs all ready to go, i jsut need to dig the holes.

i looked at where they want the signs and theres a drain pipe directly under one of the spots. i told her if i dug there, id be busting through the drain pipe?? is that ok?? then i started asking if it was even ok at all to be digging these holes? are there utility lines or other pipes over here?

her answer to everything was a "i dont know" so the project's benched.

I live in NH. it's mid October. The ground will be undiggable until next April if we don't do it soon. I might just call Dig Safe myself and see what's up

my stepdad does road work. idk what exactly but he hates his life. He said I needed to come up with a business idea to get him out of it.

Buy an ice cream van. Drive to the work sites. Sell cold shit in the hot months, warm shit in the cold months. Do a morning round, do a lunch round.
what tradesman wouldn’t want a warm breakfast sandwhich and a hot coffee right at their work site on a cold October morning?

Anyway, he wasn’t down with my idea.
