So, a lot of financial analysis is done using programs. Input data, rely on the program to do the math for you.
How do you know the data is safe in these programs??????
Does the info get sold secretly? Do the numbers get leaked? i know a lot of financial numbers are public, or can be bought, but what about the stuff they keep private? How is it actually private when inputted into a 3rd party application?
idk im just curious. whats stopping quickbooks from being looking at XYZ Co stock considerations and being like, shit i think im going to invest/sell this because these people are doing or planning to do this
or whatever idk

id really love to take a deeper dive into this content and actually do more in depth financial analysis work, but they dont set the class up like that.
my other uni was more hands on and involved. one of my favorite projects was from a project management class were we set up a fake project to better the school. a lot of people did outside seating areas. kinda lame imo because you could probably buy a picnic tabela nd plop it somewhere and no one would know it doesnt belong there, low effort project.

i did a onsite daycare center for students and staff. i think all universities should have this. it would be extremely beneficial, open student work opportunities, benefit early childhood education majors with hands on experience, and give students that need childcare the ability to attend in-person classes that could be financed with student loans.

the math is not hard. plugging info into formulas is not hard. the formulas ARE however, hard to remember. it's cruel to no allow notes for formula heavy classes. you wouldnt want your accountant or financial analyst to rely on memory when computing these things.
while i was working on my IT degree, we were allowed open notes. we didn't have to memorize all the little bits and pieces. we just need to know how to put them together.

the end half of this class is very heavy on stocks and bonds. there's a lot of information to unpack here, a lot of formulas that go along with analyzing the decision.. it is a lot
it's basically all making a mathematical guess.

you guess the the cost of stuff, you guess what you think the cost of stuff will be in the future, you guess what you think you'll make, you guess what you think you'll need to finance your guessed amounts if youre guessed amounts are guessed well enough and show you need to guess on financing them... then you dip into stocks and bonds. the guessing continues
