@pernia @PussySlayer @TheMadPirate @b @overflow @sjw you don't know what you're talking about. i never said gender theory was in the 70s i said it took over feminism. and materialism refers to an analysis of sexism as rooted in biological sex. it's marxist in origin but nothing like the self proclaimed marxist feminists of today.

@TheMadPirate @PussySlayer @b @overflow @pernia @sjw there's a difference between radical and marxist feminism though radical feminism is rooted in marxist historical materialism, specifically the origin of the family, private property and the state. i'm not a seize the means of production type marxist though. i'm a democratic socialist.

@TheMadPirate @PussySlayer @b @overflow @pernia @sjw bell hooks was an intersectionalist and while i agree that racism intersects with sexism "intersectionality" has been crudely appropriated to mean "all women but white heterosexual cis women are oppressed" which is basically saying sexism doesn't exist as a discrete form of oppression.

@pernia @PussySlayer @TheMadPirate @b @overflow @sjw i agree with the change the laws type approach of liberal feminism but liberal feminists have also made feminism into a joke, i mean have you seen slut marches

@TheMadPirate @noyoushutthefuckupdad @Moon @PussySlayer @b @overflow @pernia @sjw that kind of mental gymnastics is what you get when you consider the sex or race of a candidate as more important than their views and policy goals

@TheMadPirate @Moon @PussySlayer @b @noyoushutthefuckupdad @overflow @pernia @sjw you don't think women should vote or own property so don't pretend to be a meritocrat

@TheMadPirate @pernia @PussySlayer @b @overflow @sjw burke was a conservative who opposed any sort of womens rights, of course she opposed him. to call her a marxist is to utterly misunderstand marxism.

@TheMadPirate @PussySlayer @b @overflow @pernia @sjw lmao. to enslave an entire class of people as broodmares and call yourself enlightened. i think your aversion to any sort of empathy based morality is a reflection of your own admitted pathological narcissism.

@pernia @TheMadPirate @PussySlayer @b @overflow @sjw wollestonecrafts vindication of the rights of women was basically the beginning of feminism and she existed during a time when women were quite literally the property of their husbands

@TheMadPirate @PussySlayer @b @overflow @pernia @sjw the french revolution was based in enlightenment values albeit radically. it presaged the more reformist but no less transformative 48 revolutions.
but it wasn't marxist any more than any historic leftist populism was.

@pernia @search_social @Moon @PussySlayer @TheMadPirate @b @noyoushutthefuckupdad @overflow @sjw exams quickly escalate into ideological tests and under a purely capitalist system become perverted into proxies for wealth like the SAT prep cottage industry

@pernia @Moon @PussySlayer @TheMadPirate @b @noyoushutthefuckupdad @overflow @search_social @sjw while i agree that some people are genuinely too stupid to know their best interests (which is how so many blue collar whites supported trump) you do realize the absolute immorality of an elite caste or class ruling on the backs of the mass of the people right? how easy it is to become exploitative to benefit the few? with capitalism the fact that the laypeople can vote is the only check on this. honestly straight up eugenics is better than restricting the vote imo.

@Moon @TheMadPirate @PussySlayer @b @noyoushutthefuckupdad @overflow @pernia @search_social @sjw i wrote a long response about consent of the governed and natural rights but it got deleted by a page refresh, fuck this

the united states bill of rights is not what endows us with natural rights, or they wouldn't be natural

@galena @search_social it's sophistry, a thought terminating cliche. it's basically saying that having guns is only an indirect right.
