@NPC @otyugh it doesn't have any uniquely pathgnomonic symptoms and significantly overlaps with ASD. personality disorders are a curious construction, most have even less clear etiologies than other mental disorders and their nosology is weird as fuck too. they're just clusters of unusual personality traits that appear together.

then there's the horoscope of seeing things and thinking "that's about me", i get that from this. (attached screenshot) i've literally said i feel like nothing is real and i'm living in a dream.

@otyugh @NPC that's a good point, uncommon is a subjective evaluation, so much of what's considered pathological in psychiatry is subjective, that's why "does it diminish quality of life" is so useful.
maybe certain traits in isolation are in the scope of normal but not together. or maybe they're conditional rather than actual immanent traits. like, say, feeling anhedonia because you're depressed, or other potentially transient things. it not being treatable pharmacologically is also another thing that characterizes personality disorders.
