"my identity is attack helicopter". identity is but a convenient heuristic yet it's treated like being trans is merely matter of linguistic prestidigitation. it's not just linguistic. being transgender is a material state, and it is this state which prompts someone to identify as a sex other than what they were born as. a normal person of that natal sex wouldn't want to be the opposite sex in the first place.
