i can't believe that after the musket was invented the prevailing warfare method for centuries was line up and shoot before you get shot

@VD15 i mean you had formations that don't exist today but they weren't strict, and you didn't line up and wait, cause swords didn't need to be still to hit and they didn't take ages to reload. it was an art, it required much more prowess. just look at depictions of battle, people do all kinds of crazy shit, especially cultures with lighter armor facilitating more mobile units.
