@chjara @piggo Simone de Beauvoir talked about the homunculi theory of oogamy in The Second Sex, specifically the belief that there was a tiny fully developed human within sperm and that the egg was just a passive medium for it to enter and be nurtured by. there was one guy who claimed to have actually seen it.
