@shibao the pollination one is just an extension of male female. maybe attraction/repulsion? but male female is mapped to so many other dualities, not with perfect consistency but with patterns.
when i was on DMT dualism which i normally despise as reductive felt special as the most simple form of separateness holding a tension attracting towards unity.

@shibao i definitely agree. there are fungi with what are called "mating types" instead of sex (which is by definition female/male). i wonder how they differentiated. and what kind of cosmology they would have.

@shmibs @shibao we're specialized to notice subtle sexual physical and behavioral differences for reproductive success. it's kind of like, how humans look so different facially but animals don't. to us. i mean to highly visual animals they do. to highly olfactory animals they smell different. but just because it's natural doesn't mean it's good.
