@antisophon @VD15 does it bother you that estrogen is farmed from confined and repeatedly impregnated horses whose foals are taken away and often slaughtered

@Hyolobrika @antisophon @VD15 estrogen in birth control is but estrogen for menopause HRT or fHRT is always animal in origin.

it bothers me that my birth control has lactose even though its just a minute quantity. i used to worry that the stearic acid in the magnesium stearate in them was animal in origin but its almost 100% certainly palm oil which is like, better only kind of.

stupid endocrine system hopefully i won't always need them

@nik @Hyolobrika @antisophon @VD15 i think it depends the country where you get it in. i've read that there's HRT derived from yams but assumed the large of majority of firstline prescribed and available stuff was still PMU. active ingredient labels can be notoriously tight-lipped about the sources of their ingredients too.
