some day Im gonna risk updating my androids version. when I updated to 10 it soft bricked whenever a SIM card was in but its way past 10 now. 9 is perfect to me though. I guess I could just upgrade the kernel and apply patches but maybe the kernel upgrade is the problem?? meh Im too lazy anyway.

@NeonPurpleStar @georgia modern android needs features that aren’t in such old kernels so if they do, they’re frankenpatched with thousands of backported changes

@mia Qualcomm rescue mode saved my phone from hard brick twice! unfortunately I needed to use a computer with windows to fix it

@mia @georgia @NeonPurpleStar Yeah these days I tend to take it as either the vendor actively participates upstream and it's actually mainline or near mainline, or it's just stuck to whatever version it shipped at.
