@georgia rider-waite is old reliable, but some of my most exciting divination experiences were with other people's tarot decks who collected more of the artsy ones

@unmind oracle decks are neat too ive used one of those https://www.alittlemagicshop.com/products/begin-an-o?variant=33383567523926

both that and the rider Waite smith were vriskas so I'm familiar with using other peoples decks. My favorite spread ive ever done I got the (seven?) cards in order and gave them to her to place down and she was like, wait, who is this spread facing? and I was like let's read it towards me because I drew the cards. But on a hunch that that initial confusion was meaningful we later read it the other way and it worked and had meaningful advice both ways! the card that represented her in the spread happened to be the High Priestess. It seemed like she would also be considered the reverse of that if we looked on the flipside but a page card modified the high priestess to mean something else. It was really cool.

@georgia yeah whenever i did my stepwork with my old sponsor she would make us start by drawing an oracle card to guide us. oracle cards are pretty cool, though i understand them even less than tarot
