@lucy I had a really excellent coffee, I believe some kind of latte, recently at an event I went to but I don’t recall what it was. I straight up just asked the coffee maker to recommend me something

@lucy I have milk and sugar with tea but haven’t had coffee with sugar though I like it with milk. I should try it with sugar some time to counteract the bitterness

@georgia @arcana if i was rich I'd probably use something fancy like oatmilk and buying a foamer.
i like french press cofe more than if you prepare it with a moka pot tho.

@lucy @georgia @arcana i actually prefer a moka pot but there’s a bit of an art to it because it needs different grind size etc.

and the stainless steel ones are better because they have higher thermal mass so the coffee doesn’t overheat and turn bitter while it’s brewing

@lucy @georgia @arcana extraction is better with those which means there’s more flavor, but that also means a LOT of caffeine per cup

@lucy @georgia @arcana espresso is still my favorite but that’s a very deep rabbit hole to get into. i took some shortcuts because i’m using high tech tools (a modified espresso machine) and can adjust a lot of variables to influence flavor, mouthfeel etc. without turning it into a skill issue…

you can make so many different drinks with concentrated, well-extracted coffee
