@VeroniqueB99 Trick question: they are both pigs.
@VeroniqueB99 I would go for both, but that wouldn't be fair to the pigs.
@Ken_McConnell the one above is a pig; an intelligent animal, quick to learn, bonding with others. The other is a dirty, lying, cheating, fraudulent trickster and a danger to humanity and the free world. None of that can be said of the pig.
@VeroniqueB99 Trick question. Both
@VeroniqueB99 Especially if one of them is Trump.
@arcana@fedi.layer02.net @VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social now that's a crackpot theory if i ever heard one
@arcana@fedi.layer02.net @VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social Pigs do have some similarities to humans but my guess is it's because we're similar sized animals with (broadly) similar diets, kind of like how pacu fish have human-like teeth due to a similar diet
@Tony@clew.lol they eat an omnivorous diet similar to humans and evolved similar teeth as a result. They live in the rainforest so eat fruit and vegetation in addition to hunting.
@Tony@clew.lol they also eat nuts, both tree nuts, and in at least one case, one attempted to eat a man's testicles
@georgia@netzsphaere.xyz @Tony@clew.lol i love silly looking fish. loaches are the true kings of looking silly though
@georgia@netzsphaere.xyz @Tony@clew.lol those are very silly looking but loaches still win because they sleep like this
@georgia@netzsphaere.xyz @Tony@clew.lol fun fact: lungfish is more closely related to us than other fish
@georgia@netzsphaere.xyz @Tony@clew.lol what if an ape and a lobe-finned fish hybridized 😳
@gav@cawfee.club @hakui@tuusin.misono-ya.info @arcana@fedi.layer02.net @VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social have not seen any explanation for how chimpanzees could hybridize with an animal separated by close to 100 milllion years of evolution. other hybrids are like a 10th of that
@hakui@tuusin.misono-ya.info @gav@cawfee.club @VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social @arcana@fedi.layer02.net this site rules he also thinks you can fuck a fish and make fish-human babies http://www.macroevolution.net/fish-human-hybrids.html
@gav@cawfee.club @hakui@tuusin.misono-ya.info @VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social @arcana@fedi.layer02.net i've never heard of animals from different orders hybridizing
@gav@cawfee.club @hakui@tuusin.misono-ya.info @VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social @arcana@fedi.layer02.net nah if it was ever actually observed it'd be big news but it never has
