I get that impulse and one initial thing that drew me to Eastern religion after I stopped believing in Christian truths was its capacity to connect to pre-Christian traditions without being aimless like Neopaganism or eradicating anything older than itself, like Christianity.
A small, but devoted subset of Conservative Western dharma converts are trying to integrate old European traditions. Celebrating old festivals, revering the more virtuous of the old gods as bodhisattvas, older styles of shrine, etc.
