@vivi @psnacks @Evdo @lucy @meso @snacks @vivi for me it’s mostly a matter of what i’m used to in the context of whatever subject i’m trying to study. like for anything with computers and electronics i obviously work with the english language a lot because 99% of documentation and materials are in english. neurons that fire together wire together, so obviously it’s easier to engage with that in english. switching to german then requires constant translation until i get used to it…

but the same goes for other languages

@vivi @psnacks @Evdo @lucy @meso @snacks @vivi the other factor is that german is a bit anxiety-inducing for me because i’ve had so many bad experiences in school. that potentially makes learning harder as well. but the language itself is fine. i used to soak up knowledge like a sponge before all that
