@paula @lucy they’re not complicated as far as your regimen goes. take enough to suppress gonadotropins (varies from person to person) and then a little more
don’t really need an endocrinologist to figure that out

you need protein to make tissue

@paula @lucy do injections if you need a high dosage to maintain good levels. even if it means diy.

@paula @lucy I’ve been on 6-8mg tablets mono and even then only managed to get good results because i have an intersex condition. trust me, you want something with high enough dosage and good bioavailability that isn’t a pain in the ass to administer

@paula @lucy they’re less scary when you do them yourself because you know where to inject without problems, and basically painless with good technique

@paula @lucy you just stab it in the outer thigh somewhere in the middle
if you relax your leg it won’t even hurt

@paula @mia it's frustrating how many issues could be solved by just not using pills

@paula @lucy simplifying it of course but that’s what it is like after you’ve done it a few times

@mia @paula the only issues(sore muslce for a few days) i ever had was when:
- i got up walking around with a needle in my leg (a few such incidents)
- my leg twitched (many such cases)
- i went to walk around the city meeting friends the same day or day after when i was injecting a larger volume

@paula @lucy something i wish were more of a common practice or even an option

@paula @mia they're like pellets you shoot into the leg, very long lasting but not much data on those.

other than that i know some people using insulin pens for subq e injections so the pen does the injection.

@lucy @paula subq has other problems though from what i’ve heard (painful lumps)
