I was told I'm an "honorary brown person" because I was able to eat my former room-mate's food without them having to change the recipe. It wasn't even that spicy by my standards tbqh.

@lain @sun @toiletpaper no salt is bad. adding "to much" salt is a trend many cooks follow. peoples taste adjusts to more salt over time and they end up eating to much salt.

tbf the research on optimal salt intake is pretty vague. but some people eat more than 10g of salt daily...

@grillchen @sun @toiletpaper look i know you're a good kid and nice too and you can take a punch but jesus christ get that 'research' mindset out of your head you don't need a study to figure out if the plate in front of you is too salty

@lain @sun @toiletpaper i agree partially. for every day life decisions yes. as a goal to thrive for i like some reasoning.

we might look at many things we do nowadays like we look at 1950s sugar ads

dunno taste good is at all consistent either. salt can be nice on tortilla chip, but チャーハン or something don't need any; just vegetal and citrus works well

@ageha @lain @sun @toiletpaper i usually skip/use little salt unless its fried potatoes of some sort (like french fries) or tofu/seitan

i cant eat fries without salt. it is just wrong and unethical 🍟

The best part about cooking with wine is: now the wine bottle is open what are you just going to let it go to waste?
