veeeery much considering just flash-opening a bunch of PRs/issues/discussions around fedi frontends to properly discuss and draft UI for making “invisible” mentions visible again

afaik pleroma ( or soapbox idk which ) properly implements this while showing the “replying to” thing without it actually being in post contents itself
misskey / sharkey could probably figure out a way to implement doing “invisible mentions” in the first place by just copying what they have with dms for everything else then work out something from there
