I wonder what will happen if I eat nothing but oatmeal and fruits and veg I guess I'd need a protein in there someplace. sushi once a week?

@georgia you'll be extremely protein deficient, be hungry and get fat and develop a metabolic syndrome

@meowski yeah I really doubt that it would be that bad I already dont eat much protein its not a big change except eating less carbs

@georgia how can that be less carbs? that's almost pure carbs. unless you're eating a lot of sweets and soda

@meowski I drink a lot of sugary soda and eat a lot of protein fortified pasta

@georgia you can skate by in your 20s on a high carb diet but gradually you'll become insulin resistant and it leads to long term consequences

@georgia i feel like these things have to go along together if you want to build muscle and burn fat.

if you eat fishey you could have that or some eggs once a day, and avocado for fat and vitamins

@georgia @meowski Oh, well then.

You would be very surprised at how much you get out of just eating a high protein diet and doing not much else. Just sort of absentmindedly eating a lot of jerky and steak got me quite a lot of the way to my fitness goals without really trying too hard, and also jerky is yummy and you should eat moar of it.

@georgia @meowski Even if you don't like beefs it still kinda applies. Protein is used to make you have muscles which makes you burn more of the fat, it makes you full so you eat less so you put on less of the fat. It's great.

@georgia lentils can be alright depending on the work you put in. What a lot of the non-petridish veggie burgers are largely based on

@georgia @Vo The giant sloths and mammoths are all gone, beefs and muttons is preddy much the only high fat meats we have left to choose from that our bodies are adapted to.
