@georgia Not a coffee machine, a contraption that requires nothing more than water pressure and heat, as God intended

@scathach you're made of plastic too, get with the times, there's a premium glass and metal option if you're really paranoid though

@i Plastic is banned from my kitchen and I don't fancy paying out the ass for one made of normal materials

@scathach just replace whatever broke and carry on using the french press. cofe machines are gay for a number of reasons including contact surfaces made of materials like plastic or aluminum that leach into the hot liquid. also those single serving keurigs are expensive and wasteful packaging

@scathach yeah, sorry for typo. They have a lever that presses down a cylinder instead of an electronic pump

@scathach italian mokka pots, but you need espresso coffee for that. normal coffee will be terrible from my experience.

or just dump the coffee in a cup and pour hot water and wait.

or melitta ceramic hand filter picrel.

@scathach just not use boiling water or you have bitter hell.

there are people who make a science off of it, it's just "put coffee into filter, add water on top". maybe only pour a bit of water first to wet the coffee, otherwise it'll float up.

@scathach LITERALLY JUST USE ANY VESSEL AS A FRENCH PRESS, POUR THROUGH A SIEVE AND DON'T POUR OFF THE BOTTOM INCH
