I genuinely believe that the mini breeds, and most other aesthetics-over-health breeds, of animals that humanity creates are a crime against nature and, if you believe in such things, a crime against god.

@georgia @Alex selective breeding gave us canola oil and let us continue on with monocrop farming and I'll consider it evil on that basis alone

@Forestofenchantment @Alex @georgia God gave us Rapeseed to make oil from to use as machine lubricant for tanks and shit.

Since we already had the farms and factories spun up after WW2 some dickhead Canadian selectively-bred the erucic acid out of it to make it "tolerable" to digest, and called it canola (Canada Oil).

Then to keep the monocrop farms running, Monsanto bred it to be tolerant to Roundup, and now there's glyphosate in all canola oil.

Never mind industry ties to AHA.

@Vo @Alex @georgia You're spouting nothing but hot air about stuff that supposedly happened. Take your meds.

a lot of oils are, most of the anti-canola stuff I've seen has been general anti-oil pro-animal product nonsense, anti-gmo fear mongering, or people who don't understand that canola and the plant it's derived from produce different oils with different properties. I've yet to see someone with a real argument against it, despite it being the #1 most hated of all vegetable oils, so I always ask to see if there's just some issue I'm unaware of.
