my "religious experiences" definitely seem to take the existence of a universal truth revealed by all genuine mystics, prophets, seers, and sages for granted is all I know. and from what ive read about the Discalced Carmelites, members seem to have had very nibbana-like experiences in increasingly absorbed stages of meditation on God... I wonder if Huxley compares jesus to other avataras who sustain the universe

@icedquinn only God suffices. magick or drugs simply won't scratch that itch. I tried them. I tried fuckin ayahuasca and ignored Gods outstretched hand. but thats a story for another day.

@georgia i think i'm willing to continue trying drugs as an experiment. maybe we'll observe the long term effects after 40 years of weed or something comfystoner
