@lizzie faith and love are related in loving devotion (bhakti) but traditionally charity (in the original meaning of the word) and faith were considered separate virtues.

@lizzie then how do you conceive of irreligious people like guatama buddha who were known for their loving kindness?

@georgia @lizzie I mean at the end of the day it all comes down to trusting that the world will continue to spin (not sure if that's the best way to phrase it but it's the best I got) and some people label that as "trust in god" or whatever

@dhfir @georgia if one believes that God is love in the most literal sense, then any trust that love matters is trust in God even if it is not trust in god
