its so funny how many cows are given to the brahmanas in sanskrit hindu literature as an act of thanksgiving. absolutely absurd numbers.

kinda sad how even though vedic learning and ritualism are kind of denigrated in the upanishads and puranas the supremacy of the brahmanas as inherently superior and thus worthy of astounding remuneration is still maintained. and it can't be entirely attributed to the mimamsa school, either.
