I could not live with chronic illness I'm so indolent in the literal sense of the word I hate pain and suffering

@georgia@netzsphaere.xyz @patchuun@social.xenofem.me first time I got it was the sickest I have ever been in my life but luckily i wasn't affected long term either. A youtuber I watch got it and she got MECFS so bad she has been bedridden for the last 3 years

@anemone @georgia that's why I advocate wearing n95 in all public indoor spaces at the very minimum, stares from normies be damned. I don't want that for me, nor to possibly be a vector for that to happen to someone else

@georgia@netzsphaere.xyz @patchuun@social.xenofem.me she did her first video in 3 years a couple weeks ago and got through it but had to go back to bed after like 15 minutes. she also looks like a decade+ older than she did pre covid. it's insanely fucked. At least she's gradually improving though

@anemone @georgia I got it in 2022 despite being "fully vaxxed" for the time. No long term complications I'm aware of but I also know that repeat infections increase the likelihood thereof, so ideally I never get it again, and the best way to ensure that in the absence of a true sterilizing vaccine (which is being worked on! but not here yet) is to be vigilant with masks, air hygiene (filtration and ventilation), on top of staying up to date with vaccines

@patchuun @anemone @georgia i hear u can get a chinese prophylactic that's more effective than paxlovid which can be taken at early onset of symptoms and kills it dead

@winterklaus @anemone @patchuun if this is about traditional chinese medicine a lot of it is legit as fuck from anecdotes ive heard. only problem is the animal cruelty in its modern form.
