@GreyNA @rowb1t modern people are so silly. you know plato thought it was immoral to use harmonies that were too complex unless you were an expert and knew what you were doing. lest you corrupt the youths. i could list other examples, but needless to say originality for its own sake is a very new (and very French) idea. indeed some medieval authors would lie and say they got their ideas from someone else when they didn't because being derivative was essentially a selling point. if you got your idea from a master, then people would know to take it seriously i suppose. copyright law injects so much ideological baggage into artist's minds these days, they forget that art is meant to be stolen!
