Vajrayana master hands you a blessed karma reduction scratch card, the odds of having your karma released so you can instantly achieve buddhahood are 1/1e78, the odds of having enough karma to lighten your load a bit are good... but so are the odds you'll be assigned the karma of random souls in hell. you scratchin' or naw?

@risperdoll I'd probably keep my karma and samskaras and hope for grace. also if someone were entirely released from karma they would immediately die and be merged in God/achieve parinirvana/whatever you believe happens to the liberated after death. they wouldnt become a (living embodied) Buddha. Buddhas and all jivanmuktas still have prarabdha karma (particularly anichha and parechha) to work out which keeps them tethered to the mortal coil, though they create no new kriyamana karma after liberation and also have no unfructified karma related to future lives.
