transfeminists and /tttt/ users have made more or less the same observations about the ways transfems are treated but transfeminists are materialists so they filter their conclusions through material analysis while /tttt/ users are idealists so they filter their beliefs through self-hatred and the Blanchard hadiths that they made up in their heads so they come to weird conclusions.

@casinofem I've noted before that as much as I despise /tttt/ they at least more often seem to accidentally sort of figure things out (hence threads like /hrtgen/) but as you noted the problem is that they're working with inferior conceptual tools

@casinofem they should realize that existence precedes essence. "Blanchard hadith" is an excellent phraseme btw

@casinofem I honestly think it's more like tttt types have had the same experiences that would otherwise lead to a transfeminist consciousness but they just get psyopped instead

@casinofem like to the extent their thinking resembles transfeminism it's because transfeminism is targeted

@nyx the odd thing is a reasonable amount of them do seem to be communists I guess they just hate themselves too much to apply materialism to their group specifically?

@casinofem unfortunately it's become borderline meaningless what someone identifies as ideologically these days because no one reads theory and much less do they engage with it critically and least of all do they actually put it into practice, and on top of this there's already this problem with transfeminism where the overwhelming consensus is libfem idealistic nonsense that is incapable of any intellectually rigorous analysis of the class status of transfems. like a lot of that is stuff you just have to figure out on your own. there's so much work to be done =_=

@georgia thanks I needed a way to describe how they have invented fake blanchard takes because they realize that blanchard is a opportunistic sexual predator who decided to take advantage of a community that nobody will side with but nonetheless want to feel bad about themselves.

@nyx Don't get me wrong I'm not a lib and I don't believe in respectability politics but I also think it doesn't help that like every piece of transfeminist literature that isn't Whipping Girl is published on someone's substack next to their incest porn while all the respectable queers are predisposed to hitlerian hatred of trans women (because that's how you become a respectable queer). Like that's not a moral judgement or anything I just think it's a reality.

@casinofem nah I also agree with that, there is a lack of seriousness and (again) intellectual rigor where even the recent wave of transfeminism that I've observed being in vogue is as far as I can tell little more than like "maybe we should read Monique Wittig" type logic. which I think is a good development, but I don't think anyone really understands how to engage with theory and that everyone comes at these things from the mindset of a scholar where you read the canon of texts and fill up your smart meter and then get a good grade and certifiably Understand the Problem™ (like we were taught in school).

but as I say all this I remember that no one besides myself is going to contribute towards solving this problem and that this is why I need to get my shit together and start getting writing done.
