shruti is such a bizarre category and I dont think any other religion has it. authorless and preserved by oral tradition. instead of most scripture, authored by God (of course later hindus believe the vedas were authored by God) and passed on in written form. likewise no other religion I know of has anything quite like mimamsaka school. although the saducees were like them in superficial ways. I would say the vedas are inspired by God and revealed to seers and the bhagavad gita was inspired by krishna (God) and revealed to vsaya at least in legend.
