really tempted to write a post on the morality/ethics debate before realizing it would turn into something the length of a blog post lol

Well tbh I dont think of it as a debate because the people I'm already talking to about that mess I like and treasure deeply enough.

I have no character, only ego. I dont have to obey the festering whims of popularity like you do. I can break from the campfire story whenever I want.

Wait! No. This is a result of being too sober *narrows eyes* nevermind. I must get drunk again and recall my hatred of the whole world.

@azureazure yes.. I'm aware. I'm often caught in this grey area where I don't want to post some tl;dr shit on what is nominally a microblogging platform (same with talking to people directly) because it's uncouth to rant and yap, but also don't want to spend a bunch of time going down every possible rabbit hole of thoughts that I have because then I'll end up wasting a lot of time spinning my wheels writing about stuff that is ultimately kind of inconsequential. this is why I'm going to be working on redoing my blog after I get something else done that's coming up; the way I currently have it structured isn't conducive to rapid concise posts and makes me feel even more pressured to write out long essays that are usually more work than they're worth.

I simply have too many thoughts on too many things bouncing around in my head literally constantly. it's maddening xf_trollcrazy

@georgia @corpsedoll @azureazure everyone chooses their own values, some simply have pretensions of them being universally applicable, but what is normal for the spider is chaos for the fly xf_nietzsche

No because a blog post is still a type of posting. Historically its always been the poster on steroids really. The yapping will continue until praxis improves.

@nyx @corpsedoll @azureazure despite the existence of "svadharma" dharma is universal because God is universal but its highly nuanced. shraddha is a personal thing though, especially when not based on dharma.

@nyx @azureazure I wonder if you'd be better off with a dynamic blog setup rather than static files. That's part of what makes (micro)"blogging" so easy on Fedi, there's no friction between writing and pressing enter.

@zyd @azureazure they both have their downsides but I prefer static sites because I consider this mostly a publishing detail (how the document artifact ends up on the web) and am a hypermedia maximalist so I think that the point of publishing the web should be to stick with authoring hypertext documents. it's also easier to maintain and free to host. the thing I'm working on is going to solve problems that few to my knowledge have ever considered -- the closest being like Niklas Luhmann but I also have my issues with actually existing zettelkasten systems and think ZK in practice is sort of a meme even though I think it has a kernel of genius that worked solved Luhmann's problems but that ZK implementors have poorly generalized.
