christening this the chess thread from now on, all further chess posts will go in here so oomfs who hate my chess posting can mute the whole thread
apparently i have a 68% win to loss ratio with the nimozwitsch-larsen opening
blacks blunder making me feel like the smartest guy alive
Playing so bad today, went down from >670 to like 580, trying to climb back up rn
im sooo bad a t chess i need to kill myself
going to a barbecue later today but i dont wanna 😭😭😭😭, i just want to stay home and play chess all day smh
the elo scoring it gives you on reviews is bs right?
according to my after game reviewsim playing 200 elo points lower than my normal ability, on the other hand im on a 12 game winning streak so whos the real winner
its been so hot in uk recently and so hard to think that ive gone down like 150 elo
just played the Englund Gambit Declined: Reversed Alekhine, Reversed Krebs, Reversed Mokele Mbembe Variation apparently
@georgia currently looking up what the Mokele-Mbembe opening is
@letsbeworms basically i was white and ahead on material and blundered into a position where i was about to lose everyrhing, as it was this was the only position that equalised rather than puts me at a massive disadvantage. Black takes the bishop ive got over him, and i trade rooks
just played someone from here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R%C3%A9union
We stand at the start of the road to 900 elo
just got to 900 elo, my sights are set on 1000 now - ultimately aiming for 1100 to 1200 before i start feeling good about my chess ability
the reti is literally the most destructive opening imaginable below 1000 elo
my new chess regime is i just refuse to ever resign to see if i can force a draw or victory on time but sometimes it results in agonising positions where my opponent has +10 material and has been a M1 for 20 moves but keeps missing all the checkmates
mfw i've got a brilliant move but it wont let me see it bcs ive used my daily review
