8 years abhidharma, 3 years yogacara..... maybe i can speedrun my way through it so i can get to studying kegon and shingon faster

@georgia that sutra is too advanced for me where i'm currently at in my studies. 華厳宗 (Kegon/Huayan) is the school named after the sutra in Japan and China. Kukai, the founder of the esoteric Shingon school, considered that school to be the highest exoteric school, but developing the mind to where one can appreciate that sutra and its commentaries requires a person to have a background in abhidharma, yogacara, madhyamika, tathagatagarbha, and the lotus sutra and its commentaries/school (天台宗 Tendai/Tiantai), according to him

@georgia but that sutra is the one i'm most interested in besides the esoteric sutras. i've read a little bit of it and had no idea what was going on
