for some reason my mom thinks they won't help me fix this issue (firmware reinstall + os reinstall/factory reset) because I modified the software which is just an inexplicable position. of course they'd help restore a mac, they'd do most things to a mac for a price.

@georgia They won't do many things - they won't do board repair for example - all they do is board swaps.

You should ask your mum as to why apple wouldn't restore the execution of their malware and spyware OS at no charge?

@georgia it's usable, but mac os is already a unix and i work mostly in the terminal so there isn't much of a point for me when it comes to linux on mac

@lain @georgia this has been my position too more or less
Just wish there were more options for window management, I’m not the biggest fan of Aerospace
I guess it should push me to finally properly learn tmux but ehhh

@georgia @lain rectangle's def pretty powerful and comfy but it doesn't match my workflow well
if i remember right it lets you get pretty in depth with shortcuts for snap areas, but lacks in things like floating/overlays, focus switching, and workspaces right? i don't personally need too much customization of snap locations, but i need that other stuff a lot haha
Aerospace does okay enough but also lacks in the overlay (and sticky/global/whatever you wanna call it) departments
