@lizzie confucianism has good parts but the main part that I dont like is its own version of the protestant work ethic and filial piety gone overboard. daoism and mahayana buddhism are both better for cultivation of virtue than confucianism, confucianism is more about preserving the social order under heaven at least in my admittedly limited understanding
