@lebronjames75 @chjara monsanto is truly one of the most evil companies in the world. besides the aiding of war crimes and past monopolization of the genomic "intellectual property" of extant seed species, and the ugly prosecution of independent farmers they find with their GMO variant cultivars that simply blew into their field. genetic modification would be much less fucked if it weren't spearheaded by monsanto types.

@meowski @chjara "the dose makes the poison" is trite but also pretty much toxicology 101, however that doesn't mean that it's normal that herbicides are so prolific. the industrialization of food production is bad for health and society as a whole. glyphosate is less persistent than other herbicides so it probably bioaccumulates less but i'm very suspicious of literature claiming its not carcinogenic. all in all its still a very alarming headline despite the conclusion of it being misleading.
