Looking at the holidays recognized at my job, the US has significantly less holidays than any other country. It feels like the folks at our Pune office are having holidays like every month

@georgia we have a bunch of federal "holidays" that no one cares about, but federal employees get them off and banks are closed. Private sector employees still have to work. Case in point: Juneteenth.

@Lars @georgia We get 6 and two are within a week of each other. Easter used to be a big deal, but since Christianity left the culture post-9/11, we've lost it. We should be a case study in the perils of cultural relativism.
