controversial take but soft touch > linen finish any day, my motor skills are too bad to riffle shuffle and I love the texture of rose petal whereas I dislike the feel of linen

@meowski not literally, but I have cards with a soft touch finish often also called rose petal finish. its controversial in the community because it makes cards clump together when you shuffle or fan the cards.

@meowski whereas a lot of people love linen finish because it makes the cards glidey when you riffle/bridge them

@georgia ah gotcha. the texture of linen is comfy. flower pedals reminded me of peach fuzz which for some reason zaps my nerves if it touches my front teeth.

@meowski linen textured cards don't actually have a linen feel, thats just what the finish is called

@Alex for some reason this isnt common in the tarot community like it is with collectable cards even though some decks are very collectable. if I ever spend more than 200 dollars on a deck I may sleeve the cards, but I think theres a charm in wearing out the foiling and such

@Alex a couple decks on my wishlist are that expensive, like spirit keepers tarot revelation ed and the pointner tarot

wear is part of the charm imo, I like to be able to make physical contact with my cards

my boyfriend always jokes about how I should sleeve my tarot decks though, because he loves card games
