in other news, indigeneity isnt based on your ancestors being indigenous, or your religion being rooted in the land, or your culture originating from there. and if you get kicked out of your home, eventually your place of ethnogenesis changes. its totally fashy to claim otherwise.

@georgia your indigeneity, if partial, stops where you start doing a genocide in the area in question.

@ellenor2000 thats literally not true. doing a bad thing even a very bad thing doesnt make your ancestry and indigenous culture change.

Based on this logic, you shouldn't have a problem with the Russian annexation of Ukrainian border territories.

@Hoss @ellenor2000 I'm talking about place of ethnogenesis in particular. the Jews became a people in Canaan/Palestine/Eretz Israel. I dont think its useful to go back to common origin in Africa, but if a black american with roots in west africa wanted to return to west Africa centuries later I would say they have the right based on indigeneity, even though theyve mostly lost the culture, unlike the Jews.

I'm of two minds on the Holodomor. On one hand, communists would definitely do that, on the other, Ukrainians clearly like to whine and lie about everything.
