@Tony I went round to a friend's for tea the other day and was told 'you look like a skinhead'. I have a grade 2, that's a skinhead now. 😒

@Grumblesock I shaved my head to like less than 1cm and I legit think i look like i could be in prison.

If i had tattoos - total skinhead look

@Tony Honesty I'm just a cheap skate and hate folk touching my head so I just clipper my own hair ever couple of weeks. I doubt I'll ever take a razor to it unless I start going bald. I'm not getting head tatts either.

@Grumblesock same. I've been cutting my own hair my entire adult life.

I have gotten like 2 or 3 "professional" salon hair cuts over the years and it is legitimately nice. But aint no one got $70 for a hair cut...

Plus, you know, construction. I'm dirty all the time anyway so i don't see the point in fancy hair

@Tony I either let mine grow out long or get fed up with that and hack it all off. I'm not pissing about with 'styles'. I let women have all of that stuff.

@Grumblesock same.

Though half of me wants to let it grow again and go back to ponytail look.

I'd need to lose another 10-15lbs though. I feel like long hair only works if you're thin.

@Tony I had shoulder blade length ringlets until last May. Women always wanted to touch it. IT's such a pain though, use 10X the shampoo in the shower, it's damp in winter until it dries. Too inefficient. I'll be keeping it close to the scalp until I'm buried, I reckon.

@Grumblesock yah, long hair is a nightmare to care for. I always just put it in a pony and tucked it under my hat lol

@JedDrudge @Tony Your choices are narrow but easier for it, mate. Celebrate the simplicity of choice not the lack of it.

@JedDrudge @Grumblesock Bald can be a badass look. Idk, lean into it. I think it's worse when guys try to like cover it up

I was in the elevator with an older guy today. He had a bald head with multi tats. Looked really weird on an old guy. Head tats are just plain weird.

@HockeyDoxie @Tony Yeah they look creepy on the face. head, neck and hands. If you can't cover them with a button down shirt then don't get one.

@HockeyDoxie @Tony @JedDrudge And Trump has made the combover even more ridiculous, I never even thought such a thing possible but here we are. Just own it, nothing to be ashamed of but being ashamed of it, I think.

@HockeyDoxie @Grumblesock I'm not either.

It seems wild to me that it's like impossible now days to find a woman without tattoos...

For me, it's just mature acceptance... I'll always dislike it, but as with so much in life, it's just another marker of mortality...
(As a philosophical aside, I would bet that Christianity would never had become what it has become if Jesus were depicted as one who had experienced the agony of male pattern baldness in addition to the agony of the cross. The Danny DeVito effect might have applied)...

@Tony @HockeyDoxie They are out there, I know a few, but it is only a few. Even grandmas are getting them these days and it's fucking awful.

There was a local Congressman that was in office forever. He was bald on top but tried to cover it with hair combed from the side and swirled on top of his head. Truly ridiculous.

@HockeyDoxie @Grumblesock @JedDrudge my uncle used to do that. Was hilarious. Honestly you couldn't tell how bald he was unless you knew...or there was wind

@JedDrudge @Tony I'll admit I never though about it so deeply beyond 'it's not worth worrying about I've got to much shit to do and too many to look after'. Fretting about such things is a luxury.

@Tony @JedDrudge Insecurity is never a good look. My dad always said if you're fretting about the size of your willy or going bald you are fortunate as you don't have enough actual problems to worry about. The man was right.

@JedDrudge @Tony There's plenty worth worrying about. I just find more and more these days I look at these things that worry so many and wonder why they've found that particular issue so worrisome.

'Oh no I'm going bald, I must have a hair system in place that cost thousands' or 'my dick is short I'll have fat sucked out of my arse and injected into my wang' or 'too short I'll have my legs broken to gain 5mm of height'. It sounds exhausting when we've got work aplenty to crack on with.

I'm pretty friggin' tall, so that kind of balances my petty, nonsensical personal inadequacy worrying inclinations... It's a big, busy world out there...

@JedDrudge @Grumblesock When you're a short king, these things matter more...

@JedDrudge @Tony I'm of average height, and average proportions everywhere but my arms (freakishly long by proportionate primate standards) and I have more to look at and do outside of myself that time to sit and fret about stuff is a rare commodity, and Ill use that time making food or scarves, walking the beach or caring for animals or just playing the occasional video game.

Free time is a good thing if it's spent well, otherwise it's all too easily turned to self destructive ends, I've found.

Lots of information saturation experience usually keeps me pretty distracted from too much reflection on my physical aspects, but when they're there they're there
>throws in their for good measure...
It'a a damned big universe...

@HockeyDoxie @Grumblesock @Tony If I was bald I would simply tattoo hair onto my head.

Well, when guys shorter than me mocked me for being bald, I replied: "I can always wear a hat, but you can't always wear stilts"... So, I'd rather be bald than short, but I can't really understand the travails a short man might experience. To be both might lead to being catastrophically philosophical...

@JedDrudge @Grumblesock idk, i'm 5' 7" 3/4" so shorter than most men, but taller/as tall as most women.

I've never had too much of an issue with it. Anytime anyone makes fun of me I just ask them if they like getting stuff out from under the sink.

lol

@Tony @JedDrudge I'm a little taller at 5'11 but can get in under the sink just fine and also managed to head butt a car as I was getting in it just the other day.

@JedDrudge @Grumblesock Do you have neck/knee issues yet? my step dad is 6' 4" and had to get some disks in his neck replaced because of all the hunching over

@Tony @JedDrudge I have neck problems, herniated disc and I'm about the mid range height between the two of you. That's from hunching over bathtubs dyeing fabrics for 20+ years.

I should really get a proper work station made but am too poor to do so.

@JedDrudge @Grumblesock I've known some dudes who are like 5' 3" and that must be ROUGH - the one I knew was a competitive body builder in his early twenties so he had a lot of confidence and the other one was super insecure...but he was like 5' 4" and like 130lbs

Stenosis of the L4 and L5. Radiates nerve pain from my lower back all the way down to just above my knees. $150 inversion table makes a world of difference, or walk laps in a pool.

@Tony @JedDrudge I once dated a lass who was 6.5. She is now a weather girl/woman here in the UK. I always felt conspicuous when out and about with her but it didn't really change anything other than her stooping for kisses.

No, but I have to use my ankle and leg strength to hold myself in a position that actually stretches my spine, rather than just hanging upside-down like a goth bat in a club...
