yea sorry they didnt really do it for me . the season itsekf was good , and on paper having a manipulative incorporeal evil can be super cool and scary but like … it doesnt do much ig ?? after a certain point of the season it never rlly achieves anything anymore ?? i just feel like theres a lot of wasted potential there , like . the psych ward thing . i was expecting it to have a comeback but nope . buffy just doesnt care about the manipulation , ig . whatever

yes yes i put him here because he is my favorite character. well not rlly but . come on . you have just seen season one , the master (super boring villain) is dead , and you are expecting another whole season of power ranger-esque monsters , and then.. 2x01 , he comes over , makes a mess , KILLS THE SUPPOSED VILLAIN . AMAZING . MASTERFUL.
he is THE buffy villain . he has the humour , he has the quippiness , he is threatening . HE GETS A REDEMPTION !!! its just great . i was so , SO worried we wouldnt see him again after season 2 . and then sure he came back for one or two one shot episodes . but then he comes back for real and holy shit. thank you spike , you made this show into what it was. bravo
