@lain @nikiboo I believe galut is the most common Hebrew word for it but I'm not sure, it means "exile".

@lain @nikiboo would be neat to see other peoples do the same, language death is quite sad. Zionists had a lot of preserved texts from thousands of years to go off though.

@lain @nikiboo that definitely contributed to Hebrews widespread adoption for sure, speaking Yiddish in Israel was incredibly taboo until like the 70s
