@georgia @DiamondMind @vriska You can actually kill him? I would have assumed he'd be a lore boss rather than a gameplay boss since he's pretty much stronger than anything else in middle earth, and the greatest champion ever only managed some wounds.

Then again morgoth not being people is kinda the point, he's an evil god that the other gods have to fix, just like evil mortals are a problem for mortals to fix and the gods don't get involved.

@nerthos @DiamondMind @vriska the ascii actually is the best way to play it because the creature types are each given a letter and you get to know the letters and it makes gameplay easier. its way better than the shitty tilesets that ive seen. however if angband with good cute pixel graphics where everything is very identifiable came out I'd play it esp if there was sound and music.

@georgia @DiamondMind @vriska Yeah that's the big issue for me I'd quickly forget what each letter is supposed to be, much easier to remember graphic representations that don't have any meanings already linked to them than a 53th meaning for each letter

@georgia Yep that's the thing, interfaces that are easy to understand and instinctive for autists are exactly the kind of thing that's confusing for everyone else and vice versa.
It's why I didn't get into dwarf fortress back in the day when plenty of friends were playing it but enjoy every other similar game with a proper graphic UI.
