@meowski not in any tradition im aware of except new agey ones, unlike the buddha who is often considered an incarnation by vaishnavas, although this is a later development not much fleshed out. kinda like how kapila the father of samhkya is considered an incarnation and both him and the buddha denied the existence of Ishvara so theyre both kinda inconvenient in ways.

@meowski hinduism has a Supreme Lord, known impersonally as unconditioned Brahman, and personally as Bhagavan or Ishvara. almost all modern hindu traditions are monotheistic in the sense that they regard lesser Gods as just higher beings kinda like angels or saints dispensing various functions, but only regard one being as possessing true infinitude, omnipotence, omniscience, splendor, glory, prowess, beauty, etc. the true distinction isnt polytheism vs monotheism its the monism in much of hindu thought, and the belief in the divinity of the soul.

hinduism is a universalizing religion if you disregard the aryan caste system. its highly syncretic.

if you think about it sola scriptura is rather silly, the idea that revelation to mankind has ended and only took the form of XYZ is so limiting!
