I also respect much of the bible and consider the work of some saints of diverse religions to be inspired.

@Charles_in_Charge @satsuki @KekistaniWanderer @KingOfWhiteAmerica @subnetter @ceo_of_monoeye_dating indias religious ideas are actually quite lofty and all-encompassing and the sanskrit language is incredibly beautiful and specialized in religious pursuit. believing that Gods divinity is everywhere and manifested in everything is not a defect, nor is the belief in the ultimate unity of all things. both things are pretty much inherent to all esoteric thought! hindus also developed the science of yoga which is the summum bonum of all human existence yet was neglected by christians except people like the Discalced Carmelites. regarding the rest of your comment while the puranic stories are mostly non-historical and include the much criticized "rape" stories the three major scriptures of hinduism are incredibly beautiful. ive read your scriptures and find them equally beautiful as mine, but you havent read mine. in truth the bible is also incredibly flawed in some older portions (God would never kill all the first born children of a people for instance) just like many stories about the devas are. so you could say my devas are rapists and I could say your God encourages the murder of children (dashing their heads against the rocks etc), and neither would be true. God is perfect. on the matter of india, india was civilized well before northern europe was. its civilization experienced a decline in part because of Islamic and british colonialism. its a country with many issues but china also was recently impoverished and now they are a great power. india likewise will undergo a renaissance it really is only a matter of time. south asians have many accomplishments in their diaspora as well. youre frankly just being hateful when you say its a nation without merit.
