@technolyze @anemone @mischievoustomato being pescatarian is actually genuinely better than eating mammals as long as you dont eat cephalopods or cetaceans or other highly intelligent mammals which I would never do and as long as you dont eat fish that has been boiled to death which I rarely do. wild caught fish suffers less and usually has somewhat less capacity to suffer, though they aren't as stupid as commonly portrayed. for that matter neither are plants but one has to eat something.

@anemone @mischievoustomato I know but I choose to pick my battles to an extent. eating pescatarian is better than eating other meats that lived their whole lives suffering. some animals like oysters barely suffer if at all

@anemone @mischievoustomato I dont tend to eat farmed fish. only wild caught and sustainably fished local shellfish.

@meeper even vedic dharma doesnt work because hinduism is so puranic influenced. I prefer the prasthanatraya to all other scriptures myself although once I finish some in my library I think I'll have other ones that I prefer to the puranas like the yoga vasistha and stuff by tulsidas
