In serious need of a hug
Why do I want my liver to be eaten by a foxxy lady?
Typos are a spook

"Not the worst person on the instance"
@KaiserKitty that doesn't sound like it has proper dependency resolution? Or did they implement that in fucking bash

You know I thought omorachy was just an arch installer with some dot files that was being boosted for political reasons but it’s even worse.

DHH decided that rather then using Pacman instead updates and software install is done via system d controlled bash scripts. Like random programs are installed with different package mangers and some are called via shell scripts pulling binaries.

How can anyone recommend this to beginners?

It’s the peak meme of saving you 10 minutes installing libreoffice and chromium so you can spend hours when the arbitrary ai slop bash scripts fuck up. I’ve never been a fan of these “Linux for noobs” distros like Ubuntu, bazzite, nobara, cachyos etc since they tend to just simplify the easy stuff and then you run into more difficult problems like the team being too small to regularly provide updates from upstream or being so opinionated that attempts at customization break, but this is like next level bad.

@phnt @coolbean @twinspin6 i just looked into them a bit again. Apparently the gears are the main wear part and not the belt somehow lmao, also the belt is rated for 90nm

@phnt @coolbean @twinspin6 actually, the pre tension on those belts needs to be more than the pedaling torque how tf does that work if they struggle with torque

@phnt @coolbean @twinspin6 i have 11 speeds on the back AND 2 in the front lmao. It is nicer to drive like this tbh but front derailleurs a fuck and 11 speed needs lots of maintainance.
Also never heardthat the belts have issues with torque. I just wanna ride in the winter without wanting to kms smh my head

@phnt @coolbean @twinspin6 they usually last much longer than chains. That's the entire selling point

@coolbean @fiore @kopper wdym decent compiler? Haskell seems to be faster than ocaml, optimizing it just requires arcane knowledge compared to anything else because of immutability and lazy eval
