@orekix @VD15 @pernia but they're both done with the understanding that some people are more worthy than others, certain people being encouraged is not unlike certain people being discouraged. i think pro-natalism could have the same effect of counteracting the tendency of people to have kids below the the replacement ratio as their living conditions improve.

@orekix @VD15 @pernia our society rewards mediocrity fundamentally. breeding good little soldiers/corporate drones. the fact that people who champion eugenics also stifle the human spirit is not lost on me. i mean, they want human genius and creativity to work like a farm or assembly line. it doesn't work like that.

i mean i share a longing for inexicable things to exist in defiance of lame empiricism (ultimately stemming from escapism and worldweariness and possibly thanatophobia) but you gotta see the magic that's already around you
or i could be that guy and say, the fun in magic is that it can't be proven and keeps you wondering, if it were consistent and self evident it wouldn't be magic
