@pernia @a7 @fluffy @hierarchon @p no the issue is that surgeries were done to women that they didn't consent to because the doctor thought it would enhance their husband's sexual pleasure. the "husband stitch" is by definition more than needed to repair an injury, but it can cause injury.

@p @a7 @fluffy @hierarchon @pernia it's hard to justify as a consensual practice also, given that it doesn't actually work to tighten the vagina (only the vaginal opening) and can cause lasting pain. and it's rooted not in the health of the patient (ie more than medically necessary) but in the pleasure of another.
