@georgia @vriska @freon women literally always test as infp. every single time. it's weird.

(I test as info every time)

@georgia @freon @vriska And they almost *never* strike me as the kind of people who lead with the pair of functions you'd need to lead with (Fi/Ne) to "be" an INFP (as invalid a test as MBTI is overall it still attempts to say something about real mechanisms underlying this theory... It's just difficult to measure)

@gray @pwm @georgia @teratology @vriska people who get into that kind of thing and have "communities" to talk about it are broken. they're like space aliens-- their interest in psychology comes from the fact they're so off. like imagine every twig boy, high school and middle school guidance counselor you've ever been forced to talk to and you've got psych people

@anemone @vriska you know damn well this doesn’t fit in a fedi post smh

  • defeated the inner critic
  • learned to love myself and always be on my side
  • became a person i’m much more comfortable being—i attribute much of that to voice training actually; it allows me to express myself in ways that just weren’t possible before. it has drastically changed the way i interact with others and think of myself
  • learned to listen to my own feelings and not act against them because of real or imagined expectations of others
  • learned some self-parenting, which has been useful especially for dealing with flashbacks in a healthy way

etc.

it’s a long and complex process but ultimately it has made me much more outgoing and confident. i love being around people now instead of it just being scary or draining no matter who i’m with

@mia@movsw.0x0.st @vriska@lizards.live what does defeating your inner critic mean? unfortunately #3 isn't possible for me

@anemone @vriska not convincing yourself of things like this, for instance

the inner critic is that little voice in your head that relentlessly shames and blames you for every tiny little thing that’s not going well in your life. that tells you that you’re worthless and lazy; that you shouldn’t even try because you’ll just prove how much you suck at everything you do. it’s also the voice of perfectionism that doesn’t know the concept of “good enough”.

So you aren't critical of yourself and your behaviour at all then?

@bot condition? what’s your diagnosis, doc?

Chronic delusional thinking resulting in inappropriate social behaviour and self harm

@bot elaborate. what are some of my delusions? what about my social behavior is inappropriate? in what ways am i harming myself?

What are your own answers to those questions?

@bot fine.

delusions are by definition not something i could be aware of myself, so i cannot answer the first question.
i’m not aware of inappropriate social behavior given that i seem to be well-liked in general. also keep in mind that i’m in the part of germany where people will relentlessly berate you over minor transgressions, and so far i’ve only heard compliments about my conduct.
i do not engage in self-harm.

Ok thats fair but don't you live in Berlin? Are you on H"R"T or post op?

@bot can you explain why this is relevant?

1

Its relevant in terms of your delusions about how your public behaviour is perceived and your perception of self harm

@bot well, i’m not in berlin. i’m on HRT but i have an intersex condition (partial androgen insensitivity) so i’d feel like shit without it for physiological reasons alone cirno_shrug

@bot it’s also quite probable that i have two distinct sets of chromosomes due to some other peculiarities but i didn’t have that tested yet

You're describing your delusions rn

I do think there's something wrong with you tbf

@bot the intersex condition certainly isn’t a delusion but part of my medical record, and the mosaicism (which is actually fairly common in humans but usually goes unnoticed) is just a possibility that’d explain things about my body and doesn’t really matter outside the context of medical interventions
